Dr Sandeep currently works as a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at PARCO institute of Medical Sciences. Prior to joining PVS Sunrise Hospital, as Associate Professor of Nephrology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Kochi, he has been involved in more than 500 kidney transplant surgeries, simultaneous pancreas-kidney and liver-kidney transplantation surgeries besides providing Nephrology services such as dialysis, CRRT, Hem perfusion, Plasmapheresis, renal biopsies, temporary and tunnelled catheter insertions. ​

He has been fortunate to spend a few years with Padmashri Dr. V Mohan, at Madras Diabetes Research Foundation Chennai, where he gained experience in research methodologies. He has more than 50 publications in reputed peer-reviewed national and international journals. ​

He is also the Executive Editor of Amrita Journal of Medicine, the official journal of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, which is a peer-reviewed print and online journal, published by Wolters- Kluwer India Medknow.​

Strict quality control also has been his forte and he was entrusted with the responsibility of Co-chairperson, Morbidity and Mortality Committee, Amrita Institute. He also serves at Tellicherry Co-operative Hospital Thalassery and CMC Multispecialty Hospital, Chokli, Kannur as a visiting consultant.
